Fairbanks Native testimony

Fairbanks resident Teisha Simmons gives critical testimony on a Facebook post Mayor David Pruhs made in which Fairbanks Native leaders said was derogatory during a Fairbanks City Council meeting on Monday, April 28, 2025. Simmons stressed that words carry weight that can perpetuate negative stereotypes. Pruhs issued a formal apology for a post he said he wrote quickly.
