Jordan Jermaine Lowe, 21, of Fort Wainwright, was charged Monday with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault. According to court documents, military investigators searched a woman’s phone on March 20 and found a video from Oct. 30, 2023. In the video, Lowe was reportedly arguing with a woman and she asked if he was going to hit her again. Lowe appeared to hit the woman and the phone fell out of her hand. “An altercation ensues,” the charging documents stated.
Storm Wagner Vanflein-Hage, 33, of Fairbanks, was charged Sunday with misdemeanor driving under the influence. According to court documents, North Pole police officers were on patrol around midnight March 22 when they saw a pickup truck speeding around 70 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. The car continued driving for about 30 seconds before it stopped on Badger Road. Vanflein-Hage told police that he didn’t know how fast he was going. Vanflein-Hage reportedly had glassy, bloodshot eyes and was smoking a cigarette. Vanflein-Hage reportedly failed standardized field sobriety tests and had a breath-alcohol content of 0.176.
Peter Kevin Erick, 49, of Fairbanks, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault, misdemeanor assault when child present, misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal mischief and misdemeanor second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. According to court documents, a woman was walking from Fred Meyers to Safeway around noon Monday when Erick reportedly approached her and punched her in the head twice. Erick reportedly got ahold of the stroller Erick was pushing and pushed the stroller away. The woman was able to get the child away from Erick. Erick told Fairbanks police that he wanted to get the child away from the woman because she was intoxicated and he wanted to fly the child to his village.
