A Fairbanks judge issued a $100,000 arrest warrant Tuesday for a second man accused in the stabbing of a man at a 16th Avenue apartment.
According to a criminal complaint, the victim told Fairbanks police he went to a residence in the 200 block of 16th Avenue around 10:30 p.m. to collect his belongings.
While there, a man the victim knew only as “Chris” entered the room and sat on the victim’s bag, prompting an argument. Police later identified “Chris” as 46-year-old Christopher Duane Turco.
During the confrontation, Turco allegedly accused the victim of owing him $200 and began putting on gloves. As the victim reached for his bag, Turco reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the neck.
Another man, Dylan Oliver Atchak, 29, then allegedly stabbed the victim in the thigh, according to court documents.
A third man, known to the victim only as “Nos,” reportedly blocked the exit while Atchak allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times in the back.
Atchak was arrested Sunday on a charge of felony first-degree assault after he turned himself in at the Fairbanks police station.
Officers responded to the apartment shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday and observed blood on the home’s exterior and inside the kitchen.
Turco is also charged with felony first-degree assault. Superior Court Judge Amy Welch issued a $100,000 warrant for his arrest.
