To the editor: I would like to ask [Borough Assemblymember] Tammie Wilson just how many times she has come to the Mary Siah pool and actually joined in with the walkers and swimmers? Or the other Borough Assemblymembers who think the pool isn’t used enough” Just how many of you have even dipped your paw into the pool” Probably none of you, and yet you want to shut the pool down.
Keep the pool open for those of us who actually get wet — and that doesn’t mean the showers. I use those too, but I swim as often as possible. It’s part of the community, and we feel like we are members of that community.
