Thrivalaska is a Fairbanks-based nonprofit organization that is dedicated to empowering families and helping children, particularly through its Head Start program.
On April 4, Thrivalaska’s Annual First Friday Art Show featured the work of children from ages birth to 5. Thrivalaska families were invited, along with the community, to celebrate the creations, bid on silent auction items and receive door prizes. The children of Thrivealaska spent months learning art techniques, studying the work of known artists, and building their own skills while creating. Every guest was encouraged to participate in a variety of fun activities at the First Friday event. Community outreach information was given out to help improve quality of life for our families, and a great time was had by all.
