The Global Credit Union Foundation has awarded $115,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations across Alaska, Arizona and California as part of its quarterly 2025 charitable giving program.
The donations were made to support organizations providing vital services in areas served by Global Credit Union, including food security, early childhood education, adaptive recreation and military family support.
“We collaborate with these nonprofits because we have witnessed the positive impact they have on the community,” Noël Gabler, executive director of the Global Credit Union Foundation, said in a news release. “The essential services they offer are unique and invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for their dedication to making our world a better place.”
Grant recipients include:
• Armed Services YMCA of Alaska — $60,000; supports military families with programs tailored to the unique challenges of service life.
• Bean’s Café — $15,000; provides meals for individuals experiencing homelessness and children in need through its Children’s Lunchbox program.
• Girl Scouts of Alaska — $15,000; empowers girls to lead and build a brighter future through community mentorship and youth leadership development.
• A Greater Hope (California) — $10,000; offers foster care, adoption, mental health counseling and abuse prevention services.
• Challenge Alaska $5,000 — Enhances the lives of people with disabilities through adaptive sports and recreational therapy.
• Educare Arizona — $5,000; Promotes early childhood education and family support services for at-risk children.
• Southwest Human Development (Arizona) — $5,000; Strengthens foundations for children and families with early development programs and support services.
The Global Credit Union Foundation has distributed over $5 million in charitable funding since its founding more than two decades ago.
